Goodbye 2024... Hello 2025

I'm tired, do we want to stay up to midnight?
This is the theme for the last half of 2024. The image above should give an idea of why we feel this way. (We did not, in fact, make it to midnight.)
Stellan turned 7 months on Christmas day. He's the center of everyone's world. I hope he doesn't feel pressure, just love. I hope he can always tap into the innate curiosity that so easily pours out of him now. I hope we can stay out of the way as we guide what we can. I hope we can protect him while letting him grow into his own potential. I hope, as he watches us, he learns a way to be himself in the world, to have confidence and clarity in who he is and all he can do. I hope, of all the things we might teach him, he feels accepted, supported, encouraged — at every step in his journey, on whatever winding path he forges for himself.
Now, as for the parents... I hope we can gather the wisdom of experience, to raise this human as we raise ourselves — to stay open, to know our own creative potential, to remain flexible as we build our strength, to be humbled and inspired by possibility, to create anew out of our own imaginative optimism, to learn, to grow, to love.
