Daddy Q&A

How would you describe your experience with fatherhood right now?
Challenging and rewarding. The challenges are rewarding.
What's the hardest part of this season of parenthood?
Putting your needs last. It's hard, but necessary.
How has fatherhood changed the way you see yourself or your priorities?
Family needs come first. Us as a whole. Things shifted, without trying, subconsciously. I started thinking about the future differently when we met. Now I think of all the things we'll get to do with Stellan.
What’s been the most rewarding part of parenting?
Just looking at him and seeing him smile back at me.
What has surprised you most about being a dad so far?
How much my/our friends showed up for us. And family.
What's something you're looking forward to?
Just teaching him how to do stuff. Like tie his shoes. Brush his teeth, comb his hair, put on his shirt, ride a bike. Make a sandwich, get himself a glass of water. Life skills. Little things.
Is there anything about being a dad that you didn’t expect to enjoy as much as you do?
Changing him. Diapers and stuff. It's fun. The way he interacts.
